AADHAR Card Correction/Update online
As everyone knows that UIDAI has launched the Aadhar Card self-service update web portal for correcting or updating the information of their own. For that you must have the phone number as One Time Password (OTP) is sent to that mobile / phone number. If you no longer have the recorded mobile number, you want to visit the nearest Center of AADHAR Card Update or send the AADHAR Card change to the request by the post. Using this web portal, you can now modify the details like incorrect name, date of birth, gender or changed address online very quickly. For this, you want to first login using the Aadhaar number & an OTP sent to the registered mobile. Later on, one can also check the status of the update request. To modify the Aadhar details follow below mentioned simple steps:
Step 1. Visit the official website for Aadhar Self Service correction Portal: https://uidai.gov.in/update-your-aadhaar-data.html
Step 2. Enter the 12-digit Aadhar Card Number in the given field & click on button ‘Send OTP.’ You will get a One Time Password (OTP) which is valid for only 15 minutes on the recorded mobile number. If your mobile number has not filed, then you are requested to input the mobile number on which your one-time password will send.
Step 3. Enter the one-time password obtained on the mobile & the verification code visible on the image box & Hit Login button. Be ready as the OTP is valid for only 15 minutes. Airtel mobile numbers might not get OTP because of some issue & in that case, they can go through the offline process for renewing their details.
Step 4. Now check the field name in which you need to do corrections or changes and then hit Submit button.
Step 5. Now make the corrections in all required field(s) and Hit Submit Update Request button.
Step 6. You will then be requested to confirm the specifications you need to change also if they are correct then click on tick mark the confirm check-box & click on the Proceed button otherwise click on Modify button to update your changes.
Step 7. Again you will be perceived to ‘ the pdate Request Confirmation & records Upload page where you want to choose the Document you have as proof & then browse the scanned copy of the equivalent document on the computer & wait till a copy has uploaded and Hit Submit button.
Step 8. After that, you will notice an Update Request Complete page saying that Your update request has successfully submitted on the date. And your Update Request Number(URN) has generated and shown. You will also get a confirmation message on the mobile number along with the Update Request Number. Save the URN safe as this would be utilized to test the status of your corrected /change application later on. You can also download an acknowledgment slip by clicking on the Download File option or can take the printout of it for later reference by using Print option.
Step 9. Now you can log out by using the Logout option present at top right corner of that same page.
