STEP-1: Visiting your Home Branch with Necessary Documents
To transfer the Account of SBI Bank, you first want to visit your home branch where you have already your Bank Account.
Do recollect to carry the records below mentioned before going to the home Branch:
a) Write Application to the Branch Manager considering your complete Account Details & that you need to transfer your bank Branch. Verify your details on the Application like Name on Account, Old Branch, Account Number & New Branch Bank of SBI.
b) A copy of Address Proof, If you need to Modify your Address on your Account. You can attach a copy of the Address Proof records like Aadhar Card details, Voter ID Card details, Passport details, SBI Bank Passbook, etc. Review a list of all the Proofs of Address records that are accepted by State Bank of India (SBI)
c) Photocopy of PAN Card details
d) Original Bank Passbook not compulsory to submit (Optional). Just in fact the Officials of SBI Bank ask for your Bank Passbook, you want to carry your SBI Bank Passbook mandatory with you.
Step-2: Submitting over the Records to the Manager of SBI Branch in the Home Branch of SBI. After reviewing all the documents, you want to self-attest that do signature (Put your Signature) on your Address & ID proof that is PAN Card records. Hand over these papers to the Manager of the Bank Branch along with an Application for Branch shift. Show your Bank Passbook to the Manager of home Branch if required for it.
Step-3: After that going to the New Branch and Finishing the Formalities
Generally, within 1 to 3 days time, your home branch may shift your Bank Account of SBI to the new Branch of SBI. Ultimately, you want to visit the New Branch where your account has changed. You can verify if your Bank Account has transferred or not. Once approved, you can renew you’re correct or upgrade on the Bank Passbook If you have shifted with the new Address.
